Dr.. Manoj P. Dandekar is the Managing Director of Enterprise Economic Evaluation.

He has over 30 years of experience in the identification, valuation, and remaining life analysis of intangible assets (IAs) and intellectual property (IP) as well as the appraisal of business enterprises and partial business interests. He has also assisted in matters involving fixed assets and real estate valuations.

Manoj has provided valuation advisory services for clients in the manufacturing, telecommunications, technology, oil and gas, chemical, and healthcare industries. His client base includes publicly traded and privately held companies as well as financial institutions.

Dr. Dandekar has worked on numerous engagements involving purchase price allocation for tax purposes as well as identification and valuation of IAs for financial reporting compliance purposes (ASC 805 / SFAS 141-R), and goodwill impairment testing (ASC 350 / SFAS 142). He has performed privately held business valuations for ESOP, dissenting shareholder resolution, non-qualified deferred compensation, marital dispute, etc.

He has performed valuations of various type of IAs, including in-process research and development, backlog, patented and proprietary technologies for several high-tech (semiconductor, telecom, FTTX, etc.) and pharma (pre-trial) clients. He led the technology valuation team in the fresh start accounting project for a major US automobile manufacturer and a silicon wafer manufacturer.

Dr. Dandekar has valued of patented technology and know-how related to power conversion, for potential buy out or licensing purposes. He has valued proprietary technologies (for food service products and pet foods) and their economic remaining lives for law firm in its representation of the acquirer in litigation against the IRS.

Dr. Dandekar has published several articles in industry journals and presented in industry seminars and symposiums as a subject matter expert in the areas related to IA and IP valuations. He has developed a module for the American Society of Appraisers' intangibles course. Dr. Dandekar has provided depositions and expert witness testimonies in state courts and in binding arbitration.

Earlier he was a senior economist affiliated with a worldwide law firm. Prior to that, he was a director in the corporate finance practice of a global audit and advisory firm’s India office, a senior manager at the same firm’s US office, and a director at a publicly traded global business advisory firm. Manoj has applied his formal engineering training and background as a technical engineer in an oil refinery in Mumbai, India.

Dr. Dandekar earned his Doctorate in Engineering Valuation from Iowa State University after receiving his BE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bombay, India.
Manoj is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation and Intangible Assets. He was a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
